Groin Talk with Juddy
Aaaah...how therapeutic . Chri$$y's not staged a miracle, hype-driven recovery after all. Go Bally!!!!!
Even at a session at Centurion Park in Pretoria he was confined, as he has been almost since his first day with Carlton, to running drills.
Given the NAB Cup starts in two weeks, there is not a lot of time remaining if he wants to play Round 1 of the premiership season.
Judd was cryptic when asked if his coach Brett Ratten was accurate in predicting he would return to competition by the third week of the NAB Cup.
"The honest answer is I'll return when I'm ready," he said.
Herald Sun: So when do think that might be?
"If it's not ready until the split round, say Round 12 in the middle of the season, then that's when it will be. I guess I've gone away from trying to pretend I can somehow control when my body is going to be fixed, because I have got no idea.
"Seriously, I've got no choice. It's either that or you play hurt and you end up finishing your career. That's where I am at. It has probably progressed slower than I would have liked, but sooner or later it will be fixed, and the important thing then is that it stays right."
HS: Are you saying it is possible you may not be ready for the start of the season?
"It's possible, but it's unlikely, but it's definitely possible. It's possible I will never play again, but if I was a betting man, I wouldn't be putting money on that. I'm hoping to play Round 1, it would be nice to get a hitout one or two games before then, but I won't be making the same mistake as I did last year."

They will not grow old, as those from more northern States grow old.
For them it will always be three-quarter-time, with the scores level
and the wind advantage in the final term.

They had alot of members last year as well. Why would he bother purchasing them. I would beleive the figures there isnt any real reason to lie.stinger wrote:saintbrat wrote:their membership skyrocketed last year without Juddy ????? somehow went up by 7,000 in one year!!!!!!!!!!!!Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:their memberships have already sky-rocketed ...st_Trav_ofWA wrote:geee the carlton membership dept wouldnt of liked that comment while there are still memberships to be sold !!It's possible I will never play again,

because he's a clever man and if he is putting money into the club why not boost the membership totals which can do a couple of thingsplugger66 wrote:They had alot of members last year as well. 1) get excitement up, more carlton supporters sign up cause they are on the way up
2) get better sponsorship by saying "hey we have 35 k members"
3) win something for once, even if it's for membership count.
He did this last year, why not continue it this year.
on judd I would not be suprised if he had a year similar to balls two years ago, one good game then 2-3 struggling. Will not have that explosive speed, will be interesting if he can get back to that high standard without it.

judd is a mercenary, that said he on song is a spectacular player.
i do find it ironic that carlton fans who constantly attacked hammil are among the same fans who saying judd isn't a mercenary.
a touch of the shyte scumming BS brand X hypocracy?
I enjoy seeing judd on song, he is truly breathtaking, however I do hope we anhilate carlton and smash their collective smarmy faces in the mud.

SHUT UP KRIME!
So is Hammil then which I dont agree with. Players can swap clubs, that doesnt make them mercenaries. He had a reason to leave WCE and chose the best option in his opinion. What is wrong with that?Dan Warna wrote:judd is a mercenary, that said he on song is a spectacular player.

just on carltons membership numbers im not sure if its common knowlege but carlton as a club actually buys memberships for every player to have ever played a game for the club be it one game or 300 games, so if you think about how many living players who have played a game for St kilda and added them to our membership base we too could boast a massive increase in memberships ..but it doesnt add anything to the finances except to go to sponcers saying "look how many members we have !"

Even if that was true it only adds about 300 memberships to the total.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:just on carltons membership numbers im not sure if its common knowlege but carlton as a club actually buys memberships for every player to have ever played a game for the club be it one game or 300 games, so if you think about how many living players who have played a game for St kilda and added them to our membership base we too could boast a massive increase in memberships ..but it doesnt add anything to the finances except to go to sponcers saying "look how many members we have !"
I'm confused plugger66, so your debating that the club and pratt are doing this, just that it's not that many memberships....plugger66 wrote:Even if that was true it only adds about 300 memberships to the total.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:just on carltons membership numbers im not sure if its common knowlege but carlton as a club actually buys memberships for every player to have ever played a game for the club be it one game or 300 games, so if you think about how many living players who have played a game for St kilda and added them to our membership base we too could boast a massive increase in memberships ..but it doesnt add anything to the finances except to go to sponcers saying "look how many members we have !"
