Saints Club eNewsletter.. 30 Jan- Intra Club Game

Post: # 513379Post saintsRrising »

For those not yet signed up..it has just gone out:

St Kilda v St Kilda - Live @ Linen House Oval!

This will be the first chance for the players to publically show off their strength and skills after a gruelling pre-season training. The teams will be selected with some of our biggest guns going head-to-head in a friendly but competitive match-off!

The Intra Club match will also be your first opportunity to see some of our new recruits and star rookies in action! King, Schneider, Dempster, C Gardiner and our rookies including Chivers, Miles, McQualter and Haretuku are all chomping and the bit to prove their metal.

Our coaches and development staff will be watching eagerly to see how the boys
perform as the expectations and stakes are high for 2008.

So don't miss the first chance of the season to be at Linen House Oval, Moorabbin to personally see the 2008 story unfold!

Date: 8th February 2008
Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Venue: Linen House Oval, Moorabbin

As usual, there will be refreshments, including a BBQ and drinks, available for purchase at the oval and an opportunity after the game for fans to get autographs of their favourite players.

This is definitely one of the "not to be missed" occasions on our calendar so book in a Friday night with family or friends and get on down to Linen House Oval, Moorabbin to be part of our big year right from the start!

Hope they have strong teeth. That 'metal' can be a bugger to bite through.

I thought it was meant to be '"champing" at the bit'

Not sure of that actually myself.

'Chomping' brings the analogy of the horse and his bit into play, which is what I thought was the origin?

I'll tell you what it is... it is..its bloody slack and it bugs the crap out of me

If you are going to use wordy metaphors, misquoting them and misspelling them just makes our communications looks like a primary school newsletter

I hope someone severely gets a kick in the bum for this..its not good enough. Sounds like someone needs to be taught that spellcheck is not the saviour of the English language

After all that running in the pre-season maybe it was "chafing quite a bit".

As long as we don't lose any players long term to 'chronic chaffing'.

Looks like they used the saints.com.au article that I quoted here - http://www.saintsational.com/forum/view ... hp?t=39728 without any changes.

It even has different variations on the weight, height and DOB on the four players mentioned.

Surely, it's not too hard to have it all formatted.

Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

Exactly.

The person/people who need a swift kick up the arse are the one(s) responsible for NOT hiring Mr Peanut.

I doubt very much Peanut would make c**k up after c**k up that we are now seeing from our official spin department.
