I just want to know how you think growth spurts cause injuries.
matt Maguire had iffy shins when we drafted him, look it up...I can guarentee this
Can't find ay mention of it. Not in any old draft summary, nothing on BigFooty about it. And I'm not sure how exactly a player can have "iffy shins." Basically the only shin injury is shin splints, which I believe is generally an injury for 30+ people.
I know Harvey did his Knee, but after that he had a run of soft tissue injuries, every third week he was out, especially with his calf- maybe it was 2003- 2004
2005 he did his hammy/calf about 4 times. Nowhere near 2000.
The lid was off in 04, but nailed back on ever since.
Will come off at 3/4 time of the GF if we are 120 points up.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
Nice work Karnak, it's easy to be negative and all doom n gloom but it takes a bit of courage to be as positive as you are.
My lid was crushed by a passing semi as I ran across South Road to reach Linton Street to renew my membership.
Lyon is the right man for the job, he's assembling a very good support staff, he knows what it takes and knows his limitations. He's a man who has now firm control of the playing list and is not afraid to make tough decisions. His game plan will evolve as soon as the players learn about accountability and being honest with each other.
The list is stronger for the recruits and I do not believe anyone can honestly say the list has stagnated or gone backwards. If King, Schneider, Dempster and Charlie Gardiner are not better than those cut then I know nothing.
Our middle tier, which often let us down in the past has improved, here I'm talking about Montagna, Fiora, Blake and Sam Fisher. Add the Clarkes and Gilbert to this then our lower to middle has improved significantly. If a second year player or two (including Geary) can step up then we'll go alright.
Injuries happen, it's how they get managed that determines the impact on the club. Hopefully the days of allowing a player to play injured by either forcing or guilting him to play are gone.
Roll on 2008, win it all including the pre-season because you and us deserve it!
