Saints home game against Pies - Friday night 16 May 2008
Just booked some flights to come to MEL for this game. It's at the Dome.
First home game for my (8 year old) son....he currently thinks any game involving the Saints involves me and him and 43,000 opposition supporters! This game will be an eye opener for him.
QUESTION - I assume this will be a ticket only (rather than roll up) affair....how fair in advance of the game will tickets go on sale? Do members have preferential booking? Anything else I should know about getting tickets?

pretty much any collingwood game at the dome is a sell out.Mr X from the West wrote:Just booked some flights to come to MEL for this game. It's at the Dome.

if you are a member you will have to book with ticketmaster and give them your membership barcode and they will charge a $2 or $3 phone charge, and thats it. if not you will have to buy a ticket from ticketmaster.
they will go on sale about 3 weeks before the game, and the carpark tickets will be 1 month before the game!
im guessing there will be a good 46,000 at this game, and 20,000 or more them will be going for the saints!
if this is your sons first home game make sure you book tickets the hour they go on sale so you can get a level 1 seat for him! if you wait until 4 days before the game like me you are sitting in row KK of level 3 (very top row of level 3)

Or you can book via their website...(you can go direct or from afl.com.au click on the Buy Tickets link).saintdooley wrote:

Look for the members category....
On the Barcode you will see the number next to it....you just type this in for each member into the members field. It will confirm after you do this what each member type is.
Select the tickfast option and your tickets will be emailed to your nominated email address.
You just print them off.
The booking fee is less for child tickets...about $1.10.
Enjoy....

Agreed..this game will more than likely be "All ticketed" At the very least the front 6 rows of Level 3 will be ticketed, as parts of the Docklands side wing is set aside for Collingwood reserved seat holders, whether they are home or away at TD.
If either or both of the sides are travelling well, tickets will sell very fast.
If you want to take the Level 3 option and want to be assured of sitting among Saints fans, I will be doing a Moorabbin Wing block booking for this game. Tickets for Level 3 go on sale the Friday 2 weeks before the game, and TD always put 100+ tickets aside for me.
PM me if you'd like further information

Even though he is only 8....consider going into the Victory Room (Social club) afterwards as they always have 3 or 4 players in after the game....though it may be an hourish before they come in....so for a Friday night game that will be late, but as your son will still be on Perth time......11/11;30 ish will only effectively 9ish bodyclock wise.Mr X from the West wrote:

$5 for casual entry..
Kids stand up the front and players sign signatures...so pack permanent marker and something he would like signed....cap, top , book etc...
Pack your camera too and you should be able to get a shot of him with a player.....
....and if we win I am sure your 8 year old will be mightilly impressed with the Club song being belted out many times with vigour!!!!
