With his height he could play anyway- Key Forward, Key Back, Ruck

3 positions that need a lot of strength. Kosi has always needed a modified training regime, i am glad he is finally getting it. It really inst worth risking him and losing him mid way through the year. We finally have some fitness guru's that know what they are talking about

Ball, Goddard, Goose, Gardiner all on specific training programs and all players coming back from injury. Why have Sydney been so good for the last few seasons? Ross Lyon for one and Misson the other!!!
Always a slow first 3 weeks as their stars have a modified training regime, and only come back when they are ready so they are 3-5 weeks behind the rest but then they are fit at the last 12 rounds- including finals
Top post - absolute bang on.

Lenny was walking around the oval talking to a fitness coach i think.
Went inside the rooms after a while.

Pretty sure, Harvs, Rix, Attard, Gehrig, Raph and Blake trained right in front of where i was sitting so I dunno what happened there.
And From what I recall they participated inthe whole training.
they didn't do any of the main group training when I was there, 9.30 onwards, they weren't on the ground at all. maybe they did the warm up and some light running skills before hand. definitely weren't there for the bulk of the session - they were probably the guys I saw going up the race as I arrived.

anyone got any idea about Max & L Fisher
haven't seen them do any main group work at all.
L Fish has done a lot of laps but no ball work that I've seen. Max similar - think I've only seen him do some agility stuff (last week?)

re Kosi - saw him running hard laps solo in the session before Xmas (I think) - seemed to be going alright, running wise.

Thanks to all who were there, especially Spiral2 & Peanuts. Am getting sick of negative comments about who's not appearing! We've been told players are on individual training programs - yes we've been lulled into false expectations in the past, but we have to have faith & feel the Club is really on the right track this time.
GO SAINTERS 2008!!!!

thanks for the reports Spiral, Chester and Luke.
My optimism is growing that we finally have a fitness team who are top shelf. I can't remember the boys ever having such differentiated training programs.
Without having a ferkin' clue about any of the detail, I'm still happy to say that it all sounds as though the club is making all the right moves.
Very happy with the new football dept and board. Very happy indeed.
Will need to visit the optometrist today, my glasses seem to be developing a slight rose tint.
