ELJAY Connors hasn’t yet had time to experience the peaks and troughs of life in the AFL.
But if Connors’ playing career was to end before it had properly started, the Echuca youngster can at least take solace in the fact that he was given a chance.

"The players are just really down-to-earth and make you feel comfortable with everything.’’ said Eljay in his impressions of the players to the Bendigo addie. To me that sounds fantastic and hopefully demonstrates a keenness amongst the established players to contribute in real terms towards the development of their new young mates. Bendigo has a strong tradition of supplying the afl with great and notable players (eg) Nick Dal Santo. Eljay appears to have the understanding that sustained effort throughout his development will be the factor that sees him crack the big time.
