The tall poppy cutters should be turning the shears on themselves.
If Warnie could spin like Eddie, he'd be taking twenty wickets per match.

Yes I agree, Eddie handled it well, but the fact he had something to have to spin must have made him incredibly angry..that kid won't hear for a week I'd think after the tirade he would have copped.

Its simple really..you wanna take sponsorship $ from the TAC..then you must be better behaved than the Clubs who dont...ABSOLUTE zero tolerance Geelong players arent seen in Holdens, Collingwood players dont get busted for drink-driving. Its called honouring your sponsorship obligations.

I wonder how long our club would last with a TAC sponsorship?

Any guesses?

I'd say 18 months tops.

An educated guess would be that TAC might have some involvement with Geelong at some time in the future. After all, they are moving down there later this year !!

Your memory must be better than mine...who was the last Saints player to be charged with drink driving?????

Reckon it was a lot longer than 18 months ago!

I don't want to name anyone in case I'm wrong but I'm thinking a now retired, long standing servant of the club about four years ago

I know of 2 at least. The one mentioned and one still playing. A great player too.

Hmmm, I know the one who is no longer playing as I see him on the train quite often but can't think who the current player is.

LOL Ahh yes I remember the retired one now...but..since our last one I reckon the list of AFL players (including those from TAC-sponsored clubs) would make a pretty lengthy list

One could argue that a major reason Michael Gardiner is on our list is because of drink driving.

Remember his huge prang in his last year with West Coast? It was the straw that broke the camel's back and they were never going to keep him on after that. Granted, there were plenty of incidents leading up to it.
