First in Best Dressed

Post: # 507233Post Davo027 »

G'day All,
Hope everyone had a terrific Xmas & New Year & are looking forward to a successful 2008.
Understand that there was some talk of why the prospective member pen had a silver bar on it.....
.....I will give away "The Age" 324 games poster (handed out at the game) signed by Robert Harvey himself to the first person to specifically tell me why the pen has the silver bar. :D

cheers & Go Saints!!

So the silver bar had a greater/deeper meaning than enabling you to pull out the advertising sheet coiled within the pen??

Wow

That's putting thought into it.

Well done.

Umm, buggered if I know.

Nah I think I looked too far into it - it was just the advertising

We dead heated on post time (7:37pm), but seeing as you're in WA, I guess I won by 2 hours?

actually Trav would have won in that case because his answer would have been in two hours before yours

I see what you're saying Brat, but you forget that Perth is two hours BEHIND Melbourne you see - two hours BEHIND.

Which logically means I'm two hours in FRONT. Two hours in FRONT you see.

So my response was two hours in FRONT of Trav's. FRONT. Of.

Thanx for the welcome back Saintbrat..teach me for not going back over the posts.... Ah well its good advertising for those that didn't know :)

We dont want any fights here so both St Trav & Quixote will get a poster each - both signed by Harvs.
If both of you can PM me with a mailing address, I'll arrange delivery within the next few days..Congrats to both of you :D

i wrote a big long post about that, just after i got back .....hit preview, and it disapeared :x

all in all , had a great time

turned the corner , on night one , with nominee on my arm and there was a 100 photographers looking at us ....lol....my upper thighs turned to jelly ....quite the experience ....lost my groove on the spot

besides that little incident ....it was a doddle

gave eddie everywhere and his missus a guided finger towards the saints tie at the after party ... :)

met a 'nice thing' with dolphins tatooed across her right shoulder blade , spent a bit of time with her .......that upset 'my nominee' a bit ....

Easily explained - given the ink she must support Franskton in the VFL.
Hence your interest in any information she could offer on the quality of facilities, access, potential growth etc.

Heres a tip: voulenteer to hand them out the next milestone game. I've got a draw full of posters, jumper cards, Harvey masks, etc.
