TV coverage for 2008 season

Post: # 506812Post st_Trav_ofWA »

just wondering now that we have HD TV on channel 7 and TEN and that it basically is a seperate channel will us interstate Footy followers be spared the irritating times when the saints game clashes with the local teams game on fox hence the local network running the fox feed as well as fox running it so now there is an alternate FTA channel would they then pick up the saints game ?

Trav !!

You will wake up from this dream soon. This is one that you can't blame the AFL for. The FTA Networks paid a lot of money for footy and ratings generate $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Vic teams won't rate in WA when head to head with the local teams. You will probably get the locals on 3 channels and saints games will still be stuck with those irritating times   !!

not blameing the AFL for anything i understand that the WC and Freo games will rate higher in perth the questions being will the alternative HD telecast broadcast the atlernative game ? i still cant see why we cant have fox cover the FTA games thats FTA dont want to use in perth

I watched a lot more saints games last year when I brought a sat dish with free to air tv. Imparga & Central 7 show differant games than WA , but you will need a gold card or fax them a letter that you are living or traverling through NT.

Good luck

Bring it on
