TOGETHER WE ARE ONE
Congratulations to the new board!
I am so excited that the Butterss/Thomas era is over and a brand new fresh slate, new beginning for our football club is upon us
The move to Frankston is IMHO a good one, with the location being the doorway to the Peninsula, Moorabbin is a wasteland and whilst I would have preferred a move back to St.Kilda, I understand that it is only visionaries such as myself that can see the sense in this and for what it's worth, I can see the move to Frankston as being a potential winner
The slogan " Together We Are One" is excellent, sure beats "Believe or Burn"
Most importantly, we now have a professionally run football department for the first time in a very long time, and I'd venture to say the most professionally organized football department in this club's history
This IMHO is the basic fundamental reason why the previous Butterss/Thomas era were not able to deliver a premiership as the entire football department was previously run like an amatuer club and when combined with the disunity and disharmony between the board and football department, this was a recipe for disaster
Everyone is now on the same page, working together and with the quality of people that have been added to the football department and a brand new board, I am very, very excited about where we are heading
The list is being rebuilt after years of neglect and now that Ross Lyon has had 12 months to clean up the mess left behind, we are very fortunate to have a coach as tactically astute and professional as he is, guiding us to the holy grail
I genuinely believe that this new board is exactly what we need and the timing for change is perfect
Massive sponsorships, appointment's etc...etc...
Robert Harvey will be playing his 21st season of AFL football and everyone working together should be totally focussed on giving him the ultimate reward
I seriously believe that we are a genuine chance to win the premiership in 2008, for Robert Harvey, please make it so
Together we are one

There wont be any IMO..Life Long Saint wrote:Waiting for the punch line...
I believe b4e never really liked Moorabbin and yes of course St. Kilda would be ideal, but in reality could not happen.
At least in Frankston it's just a short walk from the railway station and it's even a shorter walk than Moorabbin station to the old ground.
I am happy with a move from Moorabbin and IMO a better option than Casey.
Just a walk across the road to the beach for rehab the day after a match and close to all amenities. Good choice IMO
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

I think it is a good choice as well but not sure they will drive all the way to Frankston for rehab when 90% of players will live near Moorabbin. Still think it will be Elwood for rehab at least for the next 8-10 years.St Fidelius wrote:There wont be any IMO..Life Long Saint wrote:Waiting for the punch line...

maybe his post number has affected himBanger2Plugger wrote:Ok - I have only 2 questions:
1. What the hell have you done to the real b4e?
2. What kind of despicable troll would walk in here and pose as b4e?
Apart from that - I'm waiting for the pudding (and the proof!)
Merry Christmas

great post summed it all up but the part about moorabbin being a wasteland i half agree with its past its use by date and were due for a change and i agree with you i would have rather have gone back to stkilda but you cant deny stkildas best years were while we were at moorabbin and there are so many moments and it meens so much to many people so we cant just say its a wasteland and forget about it its an integral part of our rich history but yes we shale move on great post
