i_luv_nick_riewoldt wrote:Yes, i agree with many posters that back to the hot cross bun design is the way to go! It looks great the one armooo knocked up! I would definitely buy it and im sure many other supporters would too. Even the sponsors logos would look good on them and they would stand out which is primarily a reason for the change of the candy strips.

I remember last year, there was a thread similar with many designs on it, from like companies which gave an array of clash jumpers, would be great if we could dig that up!

thanks armooo for the thread. Im all for supporters input into the clash strip jumper and am willing to voice my support to the club if need be!
Yeah I had all the jumpers from that thread saved but unfortunately my comp blew up so I've lost them all and I think that the thread is too old to be found...

Here is a predominately red version of my proposed design, this should be red enough to be allowed to be a clash jumper, it is a far better alternative than Essendon's that's for sure....

now that looks brilliant imo.

i cant think of any clashes either...

but would it be difficult to have a version with a white number? or does that defeat the purpose?

Not bad IMO
Crow has had some pretty good designs, I wouldn't mind that one but I wouldn't buy it...

IMO it just isn't St.Kilda....

Who cares Chook - IMO the 97 version was awesome........seriously its got that strong Man United look and feel about it.....just go with it Sainters!!!

Id also go some flags (similar to the Rebel flags in the States) of red background black cross............strong and appealing.

Thanks Saintbot, that first one was one of the most popular of the lot and it looks great, I would be over the moon if we were to use that top!!

And as for the story, absolutely brilliant, I've always been bemused about Collingwood's stance on the clash jumper, I never quite understood how a jumper that had existed for 5 years could have 100 years of history...

Here's a couple that I just did (probably been done before, but meh...)
note, i only used paint and my skills are pretty shoddy but you probably get the idea of what I mean

I tidied this one up a bit, I quite like it, I would probably buy it... However I'm not sure if it would be allowed to be used because of the vertical stripes...

I wouldn't mind that as a training jumper, I get the feeling that it would look a lot better in real life than it would on paper...

These two are great and would pass the AFL criteria of a predominant light colour. And they are heaps better than the faded monstrosity we have now.
