Well, I've just donated money towards Lenny. Felt good knowing my hard earned was going to such a worthy cause & I'm so glad that I can look at my hero & know that he is giving something to the community rather than walking around like a prima donna as certain other players do! Pity it won't make the front page of the paper though.

I don't know why people get excited about Movember. Ok you get to see people looking funny, the cause is good, but the outcome?
The charities only see 10%-15% of the money raised. The expenses of running the organisation include paying the naming rights to the 4 guys who own the name "Movember". (where is the copyright symbol I don't wan't to get sued for using their name.)
So the 4 guys who started this CHARITY earn a wage from it. Estimate of this wage is $150,000 each. which if it was really a charity would pay for 10 counsellors providing real services to depressed and sick men.
The Charity business these days make me sick. Charities aren't for making money, they are supposed to be Non Profit organisations.
Like the purple bags you get to donate clothes to the diabetes society. Don't ever use these. The diabetes soceity only gets 5%. The clothes are collected and cleaned then sold through "The Savers" network of stores. All profits of this company then go to Bill Ellison, who founded the savers network in 1954.
Don't believe me then check out their coporate press kit.

The first line says it all really.

The first line says it all really.
Savers, Inc., headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., is a privately held forprofit
thrift store chain offering the best in secondhand shopping
If you wan't to make a difference give money to respected agencies like The Brotherhood or The Salvation Army. Then if you REALLY want to make a difference get off your bum and donate your time to providing services for others, it's not that hard and much more rewarding.receives its
merchandise by paying cash to non-profit partners for donated
clothing and household items

I think Birss,Clarke R and Rix may produce the best efforts
apart from those staff who had existing efforts,
would think no entries for the World moustache comp
