Wow, tough man for the KPP to impress. Taller players take longer even when their bodies look ready. Keep in mind that a players like Hawkins (or McEvoy... or especially a Dawson Simpson) will have gotten used to having a size advantage which dissapears in the AFL/VFL. Young talls are often still growing into their bodies as well - regardless of how they look.

Whether or not Hawkins can crack the team in '08 Geelong would be insane to let him go. He will crack the team within the next 2 seasons, and he will be an excellent players.
