Who Should Get Harvey's #?
The mighty 35 will be inevitably retired at the end of next season, and I was wondering who we think the # should be passed down to.
This is a very tough decision, maybe they should retire it for a year or two. But does anyone have any notable nominations?

Instead of disabling the search function, the admin should have simply set the time limit for time between searches to something a little higher.saint66au wrote:Bangers number lol
The search function was disabled ages ago as a measure to stop the Forum crashing..AFAIK there are not plans to reinstate it
In my years supporting phpBB, I haven't had any experience with forums crashing because of overuse of the search function. It's not to say it doesn't happen, and I'm sure this may have been part of the reasoning behind implementing the time limit, but I think there may be an underlying issue.

harvey will choose someone! i dont think he is the type of guy who would want his number retired for a few years, we will get up on stage in his last game and give it to a young guy, im guessing Gilbo...
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
i find it hard to believe that a ten year old has already decided he doesnt want to playriccardo wrote:Last I heard, Conner was not interested in playing footy, though.SaintBot wrote:still another eight or so years awayEastern wrote:There is a kid we might look to draft in a couple of years named Connor Harvey who would fit into the #35 quite necely !!
usually you get to about 14-15 before you start making serious decisions about your playing career
unless he doesnt play at all for a local club or auskick (if he is still younger than ten) i still hold hope that we might one day see another harvey running around in the red, white and black
I heard that was the case up until a couple of years ago.riccardo wrote:Last I heard, Conner was not interested in playing footy, though.SaintBot wrote:still another eight or so years awayEastern wrote:There is a kid we might look to draft in a couple of years named Connor Harvey who would fit into the #35 quite necely !!
Now Connor is playing Auskick and junior footy as far as I know which excites me a lot.

I get the feeling that a great deal of fans would want the #35 to be retired at least indefinitely, but I'm thinking the great man wouldnt want such a thing to happen, and would happily have an up and comer inherit his number.

harvey will reluctantly, after discussions with wife, the club, family and friends play on in 2009, and in 2010, with, reluctantly having discussioin with wife, the club, family and friends play on, and after than in 2011, after discussions with wife, family, the club and friends, have one more season, in 2012, after another season, will sit down, discuss the situation with his wife, family and friends, and in conjunction with the club reluctantly play on.
