Harvey from the 90's...
Did anyone else see the footage ch.9 sport used in their article relating to bringing back the state of origin next year.. They showed a 10 sec or so clip of Harvs in the early 90's (i'd think, it look around 94) taking the ball in the goalsquare and running away from goal past/through 4 opponants and setting up a goal for Hocking..
It was unbelievable.. It is so easy to forget how good this guy was, 10 or even 15 years ago... A whole generation only knows him as the player he is now, which is a credit to him in its own right...
Just wondering if it gave anyone else shivers like it did me... made my day...

His speed was amazing. He was 20 times the player he is now - and now he is still good.

And his endurance and strength. Which are still strongly evident today.rodgerfox wrote:You are correct.Sobraz wrote:

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

And should have had another one. Got about 400 possesions in one state game vesrus SA but Leigh Matthews (the former Col*** coach) gave it to Gavin Brown (LM's Col*** captain) . He thought that Brown took a gutsy mark right towards the end of the game. Victoria were 60 goals in front...TimeToShineFellas wrote:and don't forget Banger has won close to the most EJ Whitten Medals in the history of the game
P.S. A few of details in this post may be scratchy as I was pretty pissed...
