I was listening to the draft on SEN and i think one of the commentators nearly fell off his stool when the Saints read out Connors........chook23 wrote:another speculative pick along the lines of Sweeneybobmurray wrote:Obviously not as good as Eljay Connors.......
Our specs(smokies) have not had a good record.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Do you know why eljay Connors isn't known?
Nobody else picked Arrowsmith either so what the hell does that tell you?
Fair Dinkum.
Lyon said that Connors had been hampered by injury, but was extremely quick and had very good skills.
he is 17 FFS, you want him to be flippin Chris Judd.
Get a grip and stop with the critisism of a player that hasn't even puled on a bloody boot.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. You roleyes at our #70's pick.
I ask you what do you know about him to say Arrowsmith would have been better?
If you know nothing, why critisise?
Give the kid a chance for goodness sake.

That statement clearly indicates that you think Arrowsmith (whom no other AFL club thought worthy of picking) is better than Connors!! How do you know? How do you make that call?bobmurray wrote:Obviously not as good as Eljay Connors.......
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Arrowsmith with pick 70?
Dream on
I guess he'll be Crying that he was not selected and pehaps even jaded. Apparently there was an attitude problem and he'd been livin on the edge and acting crazy. A couple of recruiters had told him to walk this way but he didn't want to miss a thing. Still it will be sweet emotion if he is rookie listed.
BTW, sorry for the above

Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.
I feel for the kid
Could have nominated last year..had a great season with the Cannons and Adelaide were interested. Chose, however, to take a chance to hold off a year to finish his VCE. Had a less impressive year although obviously a blinder in the GF, copped a few injuries and now has been overlooked
Tough business this drafting caper.
