St.Kilda in St.Kilda, board challenge, need 100 signatures
SFA
St.Kilda First Always
FFS have only been there 5 minutes and already they are moving OUR club to Frankston, in an entirely undemocratic process, without the members being invited to have any say whatsoever
SFA would never allow this, we would consult the members every time
Why move this club even further from St.Kilda?
The move to Moorabbin from St.Kilda was a mistake in the first place and now the new board after only five minutes in control are moving the club even further from our true spiritual home
So what if Nathan Burke grew up in the Pines, doesn't mean we have to move the whole football club to the area
It's time to move this club back to St.Kilda or somewhere close by
Begin talks with the State Gov about a possible state of the art facility in St.Kilda near the Albert Park Lake, develop an oval close to the Junction with shared facilities at the Junction Oval on the St.Kilda Rd side of the Junction
St.Kilda, Port Melbourne, Albert Park or even Elsternwick somewhere with a fairly central location
Never trust a board made up of tee totallers, they lack vision
We need a board with more substance's
Just need 100 sigs for a board challenge
Who's with me?

seriously barks, go back into your hole.....
explain to me why we could EVER be able to build suitable (let alone state of the art) facilities in stkilda (I assume the junction oval)...... let alone somewhere nearby like port melbourne with a small area to develop, tighter zoning laws and a VFL club that doesn't want us.
I voted for FF on the idea that they would assist the football department and player group with EVERYTHING humanly possible that they need to give us that second flag. Signing up with a helpful council only 20 minutes down the rd from linton street which will give us state of the art facilities for the players by 2009 is what they are offering. Explain to me how this is not going by their "Football First" agenda.
St kilda WILL NEVER have their training facilities in stkilda, it's just not possible. We might have a social club in the area or something similar but really, stop living in the past
there you put out the hook and I took it, but I think this sums up the tunnel vision you have on issues, always being reactionary.
Stop wasting everyone's time

Not really a fair post OWTSOh When the Saints wrote:The previous administration had 5 years to sort this out and got no where.
The current administration has secured our players state of the art training facilities in 5 weeks.
the previous admin could have as well in 5 weeks IF MOVING was not an issue with them............they wanted it Moorabbin.......
The only way this admin sorted it out was to get out without a vote by members...but as I mentioned somewhere else agreement on location by that method would have been impossible............

Yeah, in FrankstonOh When the Saints wrote:The previous administration had 5 years to sort this out and got no where.
The current administration has secured our players state of the art training facilities in 5 weeks.
at least it's better than Casey, BUT FAIR DINKUM
The old board were trying desperately to stay in Morrabbin and were assessing a move closer to the city and closer to St.Kilda as the alternative
given another year I'm sure they would have resolved this
This is just wrong
I think Nathan likes the idea of moving the club closer to the Pines
I say, St.Kilda back in St.Kilda

EXACTLY
The voice of reason around here as always
The old admin could have got frankston or casey sorted very quickly
BUT
they rightly thought that this was not the best course of action
and were looking at a more centralized location

We could afford to wait another year could we bark4eva?
The statement on the club's website said that they considered other options - including Port Melbourne - and when all things were considered, Frankston offered the best deal.
Archie said he considered all the options, and taking into account the opinions of players, staff and other people involved with the club, Frankston came out the winner.
Frankston is best for St Kilda. It might not be best for b4e from Hawthorn, but it's in the best interests of the St Kilda Football Club according to the board and CEO.
A $10.5m offer on the table, with an elite training facility, a freehold on the administration offices and great support from the council.
Clearly it was the best deal available to the club and gets us somewhere within 2 years.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
seriously mate you have a problem, at least if you are going to only half quote people you need to make it clear via the use of ..... , and also need to not take quotes, cut them in half and then quote them out of context.barks4eva wrote:chook23 wrote:Not really a fair post OWTSOh When the Saints wrote:The previous administration had 5 years to sort this out and got no where.

Barks4Eva, you are a complete disgrace and more than an embarrassment to the Members and Supporters of the StKFC.
You will never come up with any positive support for programmes put forward that will benefit the club when it has been proposed by someone other than yourself (eg your constant crap over Rix)- in otherwords you are nothing more than a negative antagoniser that should stay away from this forum.
In fact, go and hand out "How to vote cards" for the Labor Party on Saturday and spread your negative crap amongst your fellow anti progress beings.
P.S. You wouldn't be a Kinston Councillor, would you?

i dont like the idea of STKILDA going further away from STKILDA!
and i dont like the idea of us going to frankston!
ffs, where do we get any say in this? we are members, or supporters, and the club is nothing without us! if we dont go to game, they are nothing, if we dont buy their gear, they are nothing, if we dont buy a membership, they are nothing! we should get more bl00dy say in this than them!

saintdooley, this is primarily for the players.
Moving to Frankston gives us a better chance at winning a flag.
Isn't that what we all want at the end of the day?
I know you enjoy the leafy streets of Canterbury, but for about half of St Kilda's supporter base, the Frankston area is a good location.
