I read the sun today, they've got us going for Meyers I think it was with pick 9, Rance going at pick 8. They said he was an agile tall back flanker, would not be impressed, we already have about 7 of those type players...

Was wrapped when I saw us getting MYERS, would be a steal IMO. Been rated as high as Top 5. Will end up being Max's height so I believe if required he could play a running full backs role or pick up a small to medium forward and certainly make him accountable.

The one I have my doubts on is Rioli. Sounds like he has a truck load of talent but ??? marks over attitude and willingness to work hard for it.

i understand your thought

however think of Myers as a slightly shorter, more polished Sam Gilbert rather than a defensive half back such as Ferguson

i would be very happy with Myers

rance, i like the look of him but i dont think our recruiters do...every club spoke to him at draft camp except stkilda

myers has been linked to us, as has rioli and henderson

Well I can't really comment because I have watched absolutely NO under 18's footy this year, I can only go from what I have read.
But I just really have my fingers crossed for a hardnut inside midfielder....

whilst others are studying/partying/head home and do whatever rioli stays down on the scotch ovals for about 2 hours three times a week

has a one on one training session (or one on two on the occasion that his cousin stewie joins him) with one of scotch's groundskeepers and assistant coach of the firsts.

they go on half an hour runs around hawthorn and then do boxing work, skipping, skills, more running, etc

these started after the football season so i would say that rioli is really working on trying to get his endurance up and his skinfolds down

he sounds very impressive and his efforts in the carnival sound like he woul be a very welcome addition for us

here's hoping

Myers is a quallity defender wouldnt be upset with him but i think freo will snap him up first

Yes agreed Myers looks good....but also agree with many that I think he will be gone by pick 9.

Myers may have played across half back in the under 18's but will be a tall midfielder in the big time. A super talent with superlative footskills... I have a feeling Freo will take him, especially if Masten & Palmer have been taken.
