If you could???

Post: # 490595Post Saint Mik »

I have not had a beer for almost 12 months now because of health reasons but i'm on my way back and think of that first beer probably every 30 seconds now that its getting closer

I then had a thought of a celebration comeback beer session in the front bar at the pub and who i would want to have a drink with if i got the chance.(3 current AFL players and 1 coach)

Mine would be

Baker because he would be shyte stiring everyone and a great laugh to sink a few with.

J.Brown for the same reasons as Bakes, also when you look like running out of money he has the knowledge to back a winner in the dish lickers and get you back in the game MY SHOUT!!!

Richo just seems a legend and would be a very funny man with a few under his belt IMO.

Dean Laidley, still a bit old fashioned a bit of one of the boys still and would really let his hair down and have some good yarns towards the end of the night.

This may sound like an oasis in the dessert but thats how it feels when you haven't had a beer for almost 12 months.

Who would your 3 players and 1 coach be if you had the chance to sit down with them in the front bar on a friday night around this time of year.

Coach - Allan Jeans.

Players: Cowboy Neale, Jonathon Brown and Spud Frawley (very funny man apparently)

Michael Rix and just Michael Rix

I'd prefer something a bit more intimate, just one on one, preferably drinks back at my place, so I could slip into something more comfortable, hate beer though, would have to be chick's drinks

Kossi would be a good bloke to catch up with for a beer your right

RL no thanks, he would have you home around 10.30 before it got out of hand and i reckon he would also be a red wine man not a beer drinker, him and Roosey would get on the red wines and have a cigar in the front lounge rather than the bar IMO, likes it low key like the pre season training, could be wrong.

Brett Kirk i heard he has a reputation of kissing blokes when he's had to many. Good choice though he would drink you under the table i reckon.

Sheedy would end up in a fight after giving the finger across the throat to some bloke who drank his ale by mistake, could get messy but then again JB is there to sort it out :)

Sam Fisher (we can chat about golf)
Jonathon Brown (we can chat about GFs and Lethal and Aker)
Brad Johnson (strikes me as a ripping bloke with a good sense of humour)
Ross Lyon (lucky enough to chat briefly with him and would be extremely interesting. Did read he likes to ctach up with old friends for a beer but doesn't like to talk footy, likes getting away from it if he can.)

He can be a very angry man as a matter of fact...

An old workmate of mine told me a story of when him and his mates ran into him in a bar one night...

One of his mates gf's were also there with them... Richo was keeping an eye on her, and walked to the bar when she went to the bar. The guys noticed this and thought they would have a bit of fun with it.

They told her to go back to the bar, with something to say to him...

So she walked back to the bar, he also went back again, as she ordered her drinks, he was right next to her, she then turned to him and said...

"Aren't you Toadie from Neighbours???"

Richo cracked it and left

They walk amongst us...

Warney and Murali.

I would love to be there to watch Warney hang it on that chucker.
Then Warney and I could just talk about the Saints and maybe a little bit of cricket.

Saint_Mik why dont you just choose your mate Ben Cousins.......

You post about him enough and nothing he does is wrong.

Then again when you start drinking I am sure he can get some stuff for you.

Maybe you can get Hub Mainwaring over.......... sure he'd enjoy it..... get Benny over and get him to tell Hub nothing happened between him leaving and Mainwaring killing himself

Very necessary actually............

No need for the personal abuse.

Saint_Mik feels the need for the defence of Cousins at all times. I am just rocking the boat. Not your war to win, so stay out of it.........

Thanks kindly.
