'Bigred' I noticed that you didn't appear to agree with the change of board and in the end you may be right but it's early days and if the new mob are going to be any good at all, they will have to carry out their sponsorship deals and staff directives well away from the media (which unfortunately means us as well). They made their noise in the challenge - now it’s down for getting the job done in a professional manner. IMHO
Nay...
I didnt agree with it, yet I didnt disagree with it.
Reasons for and reasons against. I probably would have voted for it if it came down to it. Mainly due to the training base issue.
However the lack of information and activity at the moment I find slightly concerning.
No news is good news I guess, but we dont appear to be overly active with .... anything atm...
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

yeah, but there has got to be something going on behind those ugly walls. With the unreal amount of publicity we have had in the press this year for various reasons I guess it is a shock to find no columns at all about the Saints ... I haven't lost confidense yet ... even though the only real news we've had since the new board change is the trading - but it was positive.

It will be a major overseas company that has recently acquired a couple of local companies and is looking to establish a name and brand in Australia.
If it is successful could be a long term win for the saints.
Fingers crossed….not at liberty to divulge a name
Good news..
But why long term??? after they have gained some brand recognition they may decide to move on.....
Still as long as we get a new majr sponsor I am not fussed if it is onlya 3 year deal...and then we have to geta replacement.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
IMO J.burns has kept his mouth shut when he's had information and been generally correct when he does reveal information, so all I can say is good news, hope we can iron out the details and see some good outcomes for st kilda.
Bewaire krime, da krimson bolt is comeing to yure nayborhood to smach krime

Good news.
What sort of time frame is "recent" - last three months?
I am not 100% sure but would say in last twelve months.
I believe the deal is for the best part done and to be announced in the coming weeks (my guess 3-4 weeks).
sorry Joff, but you are not quite right with this, word is its a Global company with local business that they want to have known as the Global name over the next few years but they have been part of the Global parent company for a long time, they are well known names locally,
I am hearing that its a done deal and big.......

5M for two years?
WTF!@ >.<
That is just such a rediculously good deal.
Where the hell are all these announcements....?
Yet to see any difference between this new board to the old.....
Well as it happens; the deal involves every new Hyundai sold in Australia has to be wrapped in Visy recycled cardboard. Not once but fifteen times. That way, Hyundau pays Visy 2.5 m per year and Visy pays Carlton 2.5 m per year in sponsorship using Hyundai cheques made out to the Carlton Football Club. Great Business hey Pratty
I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

I hope that was sarcastic - imminent is a word meaning "soon" or "impending".

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
