Time Trial Today

Post: # 488303Post Go Sretnias Go »

I read somewhere that the Club was having a Time Trial around the Tan for the Playing List at 8.00 this morning, Friday November 9.

Does anyone know if this is correct info and if so, who participated (eg Michael Gardiner) and the results.

The boys were at Princes Park, drove by them this morning on the way to work.

From what I saw, Gardiner was struggling big time but not sure if that how he runs all the time and also not sure if the boys were just warming up.

Max was punching on the mitts and Bally seemed to be strding out OK.

Was surprised to see them there.

It also seemed as they all had ridden bikes there.

Not much else I can report really.

Thanks Craw, well spotted. Did you stop and prop and watch for awhile or just passing?

Why exactly?
Doctors seemed to think he was ready to go.
We are talking about Michael and not Charlie aren't we?

He's been running all week since they returned!! Gardi is just out of condition - needs a lot of work. He is doing it hard - but doing it.

agreed, good point. he has come back into training with no fitness base whatsoever, and it is only natural that he is struggling. Hope he comes good.

he has a point to prove to himself.

He owes the Saints for his second chance and I'm sure he is hungrier than ever.

He must also be looking at the Benny situation and thinking that he is glad that he moved to Melbourne,

If he is running then I'm happier. Surely he would not be running with a foot injury. The injuries to his feet would also have made it difficult to get fully fit.

The taller and bigger you are, the slower you look running (regardless of how fast you actually are).

Plus he may have just been warming up ...

Relax. If he's out there running and boxing, then he's raring to go.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Craig Mottrom looks pretty fast. Anyway Gardiner didnt run today but Rob Eddy won it from the guy from Queensland. Only about 20 ran today.

Craig Mottrom looks pretty fast because he is built like a stick insect, Gardi is big and has plent kg's on his huge frame.

Would be interested to see how everyone went. The fact that Gardiner is out there running at the least is a great sign.

Well provided Gardy gets as fit as Mottrom he should be fine!
