well I do remember that he was a big tigers supporter but the night after his first game for the saints he went home and pulled all his tiger posters off the walls and thus was a saint for then onwards. Always loved that story.

I've got it. I'll scan it at work. How do I post it on the sight or is it better for me to email it to you.

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

I won my copy of this book at a club function. It was signed by Nathan Burke, Stewart Loewe, Robert Harvey, and ... one of the Wakelins (!!!) (I think it says No.15 next to it) and I can't read the other signature but I think it is Jamie shanahan.

I don't know how the process of getting it signed was done, or how the people were selected. I won it in 1997.

It's odd, but this was one of the things I decided to take with me when I moved to America - even though I got rid of literally hundreds (maybe thousands) of books.

I must admit... I also took Tony Lockett's "Plugger" book (the one with him in Saints colours where he says he will never play for another team). I think it came out a few months before he left for Sydney. Uggh.

When did this book come out?
I hadn't even heard of it before...
I think I may remember seeing Ian Stewert giving a speech at the release of it though :?

they occassionally appear at bookstores clearing out their store rooms- I got mine in a simple suburban street- I think Angus and robertson.
worth asking at your local-possibly more likely at suburban stores than big shoppping centres as turn over is less- check those specials tables. Not necesarily second hand stores.

I'm amazed to hear it is out of print.

It is just the BEST book.
I just assumed that our shop would still be selling it.
Russell Holmseby and the late Jules Feldmann deserve massive credit for this masterpiece.

The club should look at getting this reprinted.
Firstly to make some money and more importantly it documents our history.

Plus, if they reprint it, they can put a few more players in.
