Has shown enough to be promoted at years end
We could have found 2 rookies in the one year with Attard as well
Our best effort yet. Attard will never be a ball winner, but at least he cuts out his opposition from getting the ball
Jones will be around next year, i cant say that about some other rookies. I think Phil Raymond she be demoted

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
his senior form was terrible, he never hit a target, (50% clanger rate or something) and what 10 disposals a game?
certainly goes ok in the magoos but if he's going to be a senior player needs to dramatically improve his disposal and get far more of the football than he does.

Agree whole-heartedly...although in the role he plays, i guess 12-15 effective disposals a game would be all that is required of him. He will also find it quite hard to get in the side if X Clarke is fit and firing, particularly as we have recruited Schneider to complement Milney up forward.Dan Warna wrote:his senior form was terrible, he never hit a target, (50% clanger rate or something) and what 10 disposals a game?

imo very lucky to get game time, even luckier to survive, will be interesting to see if he can bring his magoos form to the seniors.

I love it how some saints fans can praise some players performances no matter how bad they are...

there are some unrealistic expectations in CJ.Spinner wrote:I love it how some saints fans can praise some players performances no matter how they they are...
on the flip side we probably had every right to have higher expections given his junior form of mcqualter and armitage.

He's just not up to it and I expect he'll be delisted next year.
Never seen a bloke look so lost on a football field.
Good god, I hope I'm wrong. But when you can't kick, you're not as quick as some seem to think, have trouble finding the footy and running to the right positions...it's a tough ask.
Maybe a massive pre-season and working with Harves will help him, but I doubt it.

disposal was terrible...pressure was decent.
Agree 100% that he needs to improve a LOT or he will be gorn.

In 2006, Jones was in the best dozen midfielders in the country not on an AFL list.
On the minimum wage for the next 12 months, he is worth the risk.
Certainly, if purely based on his first 3 matches, I don't think you'd find too many arguing against his spot on the list.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

I thought Allan Murray was pretty harshly treated after his debut .. didn't get much game time and got even less opportunities. I always thought he was a good foil for G & Roo and boy could he tackle.saintly wrote:agreeOh When the Saints wrote:Better than Phil Raymond, Allan Murray, Nick Stone and a host of others who have occupied the 38th spot on our list for the past decade.
