I'm still well up for the day, and way up for the carnival.

Geez mate - you could have stuffed your day right up but still come out in front with that bet!

Nice one. I was pretty happy with the $9.80 place with Jukebox Johnny, too :)

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Well the thread was aboot Saints omens, not aboot gambling prowess.
Only one poster claimed to be a star punter, but he backed Miss Finland each way, so I suggest that he take one of these  , wrap in his useless betting slip, and ..............in moderation , of course ! :P *

* might sound harsh but meant in jest, ev !
If you are looking for a Sainter connection in the Cox Plate, you couldn't do much better than El Segundo. Owned by former player and one time Financial Director, Don Howell, it goes alright.
Great call Satchmo. I'm sorry I did not see the thread because I had no idea for the the plate. Was about to head down to the TAB to collect my winnings on Spectacular Saint and load up, when my fishing mate called. We headed out off Torquay, saved the $ on the punt and ended up with an esky full of snapper and whiting. 20 kilo of the best plate fish in the world is a better return than the punt at anytime.

I'm loving this - underdogs at 3 to 1, grand final experience in our favor and Pies over confident. Go Saints - I'm loading up!
