AFL Fixture: too many constraints!

Per Simon Gorr who does the FIXture for the AFL, our "draw" has 4 times as many constraints as the NFL fixture!

What a friggin joke!

The NFL have a SCHEDULE, the AFL has a FIXTURE - there's your difference.

The NFL's system is based on equity where team's know years in advance what the rotation will be. The AFL pulls it out of their arse to maixmise profits - equity has nothing to do with it.

There are problems with the NFL system though because playoff positions are determined by conference standings. A team with an 8-8 record in a weak division can secure a home playoff game and a team with a better record in a tough division can miss out all together.
