I met Wes Fellowes about 10 years ago. His missus was friends with my mum and they rocked up at my joint out of the blue.
I was young when Fellowes retired but I knew the name and remembered the face. Imagine a giant ex-ruckman turning up at your joint out of the blue like that?!
I remember him being slow, child-like. He was amazed with this racing car game I had on my computer at the time. He was more interested in playing that game than answering any of my questions about his footy career.

Think about it.....they get it boiled, baked and fried......He was amazed with this racing car game I had on my computer at the time. Never said anything was wrong with it, I just thought it was funny. Thinking about it now, he seemed like a very friendly chap.

If you ever get a chance, read the Taylor Diaries. Brian Taylor's recount from his last couple of years at Collingwood.
A more honest and explosive football book you will never read.
Doesn't paint Collingwood out in a great light, and goes in pretty hard on people like Daicos, Matthews and Ron Richards among others.
Anyway he had some interesting theories about how Wes Fellowes got so strong and muscular overnight.
Justin Charles-type theories.
