Post: # 479634Post Barry Zuckercorn QC »

I am so pumped. We had possibly the best trade period ever. And all those people on tankingcarlton/talkingcrap going on about Chris Dudd.

We basically got. For pick 90 (nothing) and pick 26 (essentially nothing in a weak draft).

Adam Schneider (what's better than one Stephen Milne, two stephen milne's!)

Henry Playfair or Charlie Gardiner (I forget which, but both will be good)

and a ruckman in Steven King, former all australian and the thinking man's norm smith medalist.

These will fill gaping holes in our side and probably lead us to premiership number 2 in 2008!
Go Saints!

I would give up Schneider, Dempster, King, Playfair, Gardiner, Pick #26 & Pick #90 for "Chris Dudd".

You're missing the point. That's not what Carlscum gave up. They gave up pick 3 (Cotchin, future gun) , Kennedy, (future gun CHF), and pick 20 (not as good) for a 24 year old with a dodgy groin who is hence past his prime. We gave up pick 90 and pick 26 (NOTHING) for this assortment of champions. I think we fared a little better.. If anything West Coast won trade week not Carlton, but that's been nullified by the Cousins saga...

trade week was good for us, no doubt...
but some people are making out as if we have sewn up next years flag already..

there seems to be very few realists in this world nowadays

Look our main deficiency in recent years has been the ruck position. We now have a former all australian ruckman (that is fit) and a virtual norm smith medalist. We're set!!!

agreed, watching the first season at the moment..

Barry: So, basically, you’re about 2,000 shares short of being the majority stockholders. Now, unfortunately, it’s a private stock, so you cannot just buy up the shares unless someone is willing to sell. Michael: Are you sure? Barry: That’s what they said on “Ask Jeeves.â€

We also finished 9th this year. A ruckman doesn't bridge the gap between 9th and 1st.

I admit, things look rosier for '08 then they ever did for '07, but without a stronger work ethic, more effort and the putting in of hard yards, not much will change.

Very similar to "weeds" (not just in the sense that Barry Zuckercorn has a similar character just as a corrupt/bizarre accountant).

Similar humour, but weeds is perhaps darker and can drift in and out of being a serious drama at stages (as brief as those stages may be).

Who is actually a Carlton troll. 2000 posts of pure trolling. Ask Fireman or JB or JD; they've had regular dustups with this clown.

I wouldn't call them dust ups. Both appeared to support supercoach thomas, who in my opinion was a disgrace and blight on this club and cost us a premiership. But never fear, for 2008 is our year!
