fantastic improvement on the old scarves i have that tend to look a bit melbournish and essendonish. very red and black and not much white.

IMO I love these scarves.

the kids love badges too!

(I hope they go back to the wax lock membership pins as well)

If I could do this I would sign up today before I left but I haven't had a response yet from the membership dept at the Saints.
My perception is that SC membership is not cheaper for we outsiders if you want to have grand final possibilities.

So StK. F.C. is a nominated charity in my house (one SC membership and 3 juniors), we get to 1-2 games a year plus the one in Sydney.

Hence my desire for a nice sticker. And cool badges for the kids too - good work Dan!

Correct. SC is one flat fee per year (despite my being told in 2004 that once you paid for ity once you didn't have to again  )

[quote="Splayd"]Got a question on Membership if someone can assist.

Have been a football club member for nigh on 10 years now and a social club member for the last 5.

However I am going overseas for about 3 years in a month with my partner to complete some studies.

Is it possible to get an 'international' membership (cheaper) and pay the social club fee on top of this as;

1. I want to keep supporting the Sainters
2. I do not want to break my consecutive years of social club membership (you know - the optimist)"

A dilemma us interstaters face every year. Can tell you that at this stage there isn't an international membership, it has been suggested so maybe in the future with the change of Board. You can get a country membership that gives access to about 5 games at a cheaper rate than the full membership. HOWEVER, if, no when, we make it to the GF you need to be a full member to be able to use your social membership to get a ticket.

Thats right Saintbrat, its the same membership. Some call in Country, others Interstate or International. Its for people who live outside of Melbourne. 5 home games is not of much use to someone living overseas or interstate unless you have more money than me! :(

I don't know if this has been done before but have the Saints ever had any exclusive things for members on the website?

I think its an avenue to explore, with things such as player interviews and things just to give supporters an idea of what the players think etc..

They used to have a player visit the Saints chat room every Wednesday. Unfortunately it seems to have gone by the wayside since RL came on board.

Yeah I would say that would be it, they don't even have the chat anymore.
What do people think about those chats? Do people believe that it was really the players because I had a look through them late last year and they all begin and end the chat the exact same way as well as typing very similarly the whole way through and they were quite selective with the questions that they answered....

That's because the questions were screened by someone from the AFL who did the actual typing.

so it's basically an huge insult to our club to have one of the Gestapo hencemen watching over our club.

No great loss.

I;m pretty sure the person doing the typing and forwarding questions was someone from the provider- sportal Not AFL

Ahh yes..those Wednesday afternoons (on the odd time the server or Telstra line didnt crash) dreaming up erudite left-field questions for the players, only to watch the screen in frustration as "whos your best mate at the Club" and "How funny are Milney and Bakes"? got asked week after week after week!!

Aaron Fiora stuck in my mind as giving considerably more detailed and considered answers than most players. Bit of a thinker is our Fizz it seems

well they say that a man thinks with his stomach and the thing that hangs off it.

so in fizz's case he would be able to do a lot of thinking!!!!!!!!

hehehe.
