I don't think that there is a confirmed date yet is there?
As for us playing Sydney I wasn't even sure if that was confirmed, I thought that the first round was just what people thought were going to happen...
I just hope we see alot of Adelaides, Carltons, Richmonds, Melbournes, Essendons and Bulldogs in the second half of the season...

no such thing as a draw. please always reference the scheduling of games like the AFL, where it is known as The FIXture.

that would go with the "table" one website uses in place of ladder.
http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/afl/ mid page
even the icons used to represent the teams are more in the style of Rugby.

and alos mentions stats- but only tackles?? can't they find someone with a modicum of of AFL knowledge to set their AFL pages :?

Back in 1966 they called the stats 'Game in Figures' in the Sun (now the HeraldSun)

The dates above were confirmed at the AFL commission meeting last Friday.

The 2008 AFL fixture will be released later this month after the draft has been put through the AFL computer program. Then each club will be sent a 'confidential' copy and they will scutinise their proposed fixture - they then leak the info  - then the clubs make some recommended changes that suit them better and send it back to AFL - who scrutinise the proposed changes - they then give Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood what they want and sit around for a few days working out ways of telling the other clubs why their changes can't be done. :x

Expect the leaks of the "1st DRAFT" to be around somewhere late Thursday or early Friday of this week. The AFL give it to the clubs this Thursday.

The difference between the 1st Draft and the official FIXture last year were only cosmetic !!

Will be released just as soon as all Collingwoods requests have been seen to.

All other Clubs requests denied except for "Can we play Collingwood at home?" which under Rule 4.1 "Whats good for Collingwood is good for football" is granted.
