Yeah the bonus DVD and the scarf is a very good idea. I'll definitely renew before Christmas now.

in honesty i think the DVD would of been a cheeper option then the callender (if ever you have tryed to get a callender made you will understand why )

correct.....DVD's would be dirt cheap to produce en masse and easy to mail out also.....the calendar only really appeals to chicks and gay men, DVD appeals prob to a wider cross section of Saints fans (ie. most males!).st_Trav_ofWA wrote:in honesty i think the DVD would of been a cheeper option then the callender (if ever you have tryed to get a callender made you will understand why )
The scarf will be handy.....my current one is about 15 years old!!!

I am imagining that the DVD is for early birds and the scarf is for all members- will await the brochure and see.

I would imagine there will be a sticker- we all await the first news of the brochure and packages but the hint looks good.

Finally with a members scarf! We're only about 5 years behind.
I put this down to the new board, every year in the satisfaction survey a scarf idea is floated but kept getting knocked back because of price, but if North can afford it, why couldn't we?
I guess selling them to those who wanted them last year could have been a factor as well.
They look great, anyway.

new board is NOT official yet
and to create a scarf would have taken some planning
So I say THANKS to the membership department and maybe supporters giving enough hints.

Dont want time as member on the scarf, lot of people sometimes personal / financial problems etc. should not have to feel de-valued by having a scarf saying 1 year as their contribution is still important.
My wife was/is a dorks member for about 10-12 years and when they traded Croad she took a year off in protest, soon after they provided her a scarf saying member 2 years or something like that, she was too embarrassed to wear it as it made her look like she was a bandwagon member when in fact she had been paid up and passionate for about 15+ years

after all ive only in the last 3 years been in a situation to buy a membership and i feel im as passionate about my team as the next guy

The new board is happening, official or not....creating a new scarf is not rocket science and if the new guys actually did extract the digit it is possible they have it organised....well, the design at least......the actual produce doesn't need to be delivered until the membership packs come out.saintbrat wrote:new board is NOT official yet

Got a question on Membership if someone can assist.
Have been a football club member for nigh on 10 years now and a social club member for the last 5.
However I am going overseas for about 3 years in a month with my partner to complete some studies.
Is it possible to get an 'international' membership (cheaper) and pay the social club fee on top of this as;
1. I want to keep supporting the Sainters
2. I do not want to break my consecutive years of social club membership (you know - the optimist)
If I could do this I would sign up today before I left but I haven't had a response yet from the membership dept at the Saints.
Cheers
