Who could we Trade Leigh Fisher for?
On the basis that we happen to sign Schneider and Dempster for pick 26 and there is no leigh Fisher involved who can we get with him.
At the start i didnt want to see it happen but now, i am liking to the idea if we can get anyone for him
Would the Lions look at him for Richard Hadley, now that they have Johnstone?

Batnoe out, Fisher in.
Perhaps we'll shift you out of your work, school, city, Uni where your friends and family are to a different place to where you know no one.
St Kilda is about loyalty.
We demand it from our players, but when it suits us, well bad luck, right?!

I am just floating the question
If you read it i said 'IF'
Also many people are saying if we have to do it for part of the Schneider and Dempster trade, plus pick 26, do it
What if we have a spare Leigh Fisher that we can trade, i was asking who would you be happy to trade him for. I am not a Fisher bagger, however if we could get something for him, we would def entertain the idea

I don't see much "if" in what you wrote at all! The "if" relates to you basically saying get whoever we can from any team even if they are cast offs.
"Who can we get with him?"
Please check the English translation of your signature - might make interesting reading for you or are you trying to be ironic??

Strength Through Loyalty!!!
You don't think i know what it means...
I think Strength through Loyalty is -winning flags
If we can get someone for Leigh that will take us to a flag i would be happy to trade him. If we don't have to trade him to Sydney, that is a bonus and is prob equivalent to a 2nd round pick if it were to be Fisher- Schneider trade, which it wont be, we then have a player to trade if we need it....
Who else out of our line up is worth anything on the trade table? No one!
This is football, which is life and they know that, you think Schneider had a choice on where he wants to go? he was contracted for 2 years...thought he was safe...obviously not.. that is the game and that is what happens in football. What about the Kennedy debacle? He didn't originally want to go, but did.
The question is, i repeat, if he is not part of the Sydney trade, (bonus) what can we get for him or what would we need off another team to let him go. I would love to keep him, but he is replaceable.
Oh and by the way, please check the English translation for your name ceilidhsaint
what is that!!

Strength through loyalty means you become stronger by being loyal.
Trevor Barker was a fine example of that - it is not just about winning, he never won us a flag but he was everything good about Football Clubs....and I wasn't aware Batnoe was in the dictionary.

I've heard no he didn't fail any fitness exam - he just did not want to be part fo any trade. Does not want to leave St.Kilda period.chook23 wrote:Did Leigh Fisher fail a medical test arranged by the Swans?
Was it based on his hamstrings??
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

nah, I love trade week.....players like horse meat, it's great as a fan IMO, hate to be a player though.stinger wrote:amen brother amen....saintbrat wrote:NO One- KEEP HIM

Every player is tradeable......I'd trade Rooey even if the incentive was enormous (but that wouldn't happen in reality, plus Rooey wouldn't go back to Brisbane for a $6 million dollar deal and pretend it's just because he's "homesick")
good on him.chook23 wrote:confirmed by Greg Denham on SEN just after I typed.yipper wrote:I've heard no he didn't fail any fitness exam - he just did not want to be part fo any trade. Does not want to leave St.Kilda period.chook23 wrote:Did Leigh Fisher fail a medical test arranged by the Swans?

The story of 26+fish just goes to show you how much we would have lost out on the trade given sydney were willing to unload for just pick 26!

He may have infact been on his way to Sydney.Sobraz wrote:Good on Fish for sticking strong and wanting to stay a siant.. why wouldnt he... Im rapt he is staying, and wouldnt trade look to trade him unless it was slanted heavily in our favour... We must keep the core of our younge players and just build on it, as we have done with the schnider trade..
Failed Sydney medical according to Denham on SEN.
