Brett Thornton?

Carlton seem willing to trade Thornton.

He has been pillaged from all comers in the past, but I think hes had no help in defence over the last few years. With the emergence of the irish kids and the move to CHB of Waite, they might look to offload Thornton.

As a FB I think he might be worth a shot. Has closing speed and can spoil. Not the greatest footskills but servicable at the very least.

Blues are offering him to Hawthorn for Boyle. We could offer Watts and say Ferg or a later round draft pick?

I thought Blues were only doing a deal if it was for Hawthorn's first pick: 12.

Pick 9 no way.

But for Watts and Mini or Ferg or a 3rd / 4th rounder id definitely look at it.

If nothing else it would take the pressure off Maxxy.

Gwilt + a 3rd rounder is all I would offer, he's good but not great, Carlton wouldn't accept that deal and if not it's not that big a deal...
