good pick up in my opinion

expect lethal to turn him around over summer and we will see him at his best

with 160 games expect him to play another 100 and at least 50 of these will be when the lions are seriously challenging for the flag

Yes Black will keep TJ very well fed.....

He can be an outside runner for them.

Matthews is a strong disciplinarian...and with TJ being very wayward off the fielda strict coach and new environment away from his "mates" wil probably do wonders for him.

Hmmmm,
Collingwood (and in turn Brisbane) willing to trade a first round draft choice suggets to me that the talent in this years draft may not be that great. Although Travis Johnstone is a handy pick up for the Lions, is a 27 y.o with a chequered past really worth pick 14?

Woah, Welld done Lions, That worked out very well, a young ruckman that wouldn't get a game ahead of Charman and Lewey for Johnstone...
Black, Power, Lappin, Johnstone, Adcock, Rischetelli + Stiller, they are building up a solid midfield aswell as having Bradshaw back next year to give Brownie some relief... as well as arguably the best coach in the league, would not be surprised to see lions go top 4 next year!!

Lol so it ends up being a three way trade...
Johnstone to the Lions
Shaw to the Demons
Wood to the Pies
I would say that Brisbane are the big winners, Collingwood are winners only because they have addressed a major list weakness and Melbourne got screwed royally...

Shaw hasn't left........so happy in a way we didnt have to part with any players, even the ones we wanted to offload. Mathews didnt want to lose Wood, however with Charman and Leuenberger and Beau Mc opportunities may have been limited. Trust Derek Hine's judgement 101%.
