Has anything happened yet RE trades???
I've had a read of the trade thread which at this point has shifted more towards players delisting...

youll be surprised how much negotiating needs to happen in order for trades to happen.Shady wrote:like what is the point of having 5 days should just have 2 nuffin really happens till friday anyway
it is nothing like the off-season trade game, these clubs need to ensure the player is happy about the trade, they need to ensure they each have a player/pick which they can both agree on to trade, they need to negotiate salary with the player (or player manager)
it takes a lot longer than just a quick second to glance at two names on two different lists and just say "Wanna trade?"
Im guessing Adelaide and Sydney have being negotiating this trade (mattner for a 2nd rounder) for at least two weeks now

Well done sydney, Great pick up.
However I wouldn't have thought Sydney were a team who could afford to be giving up dratf picks at this point...

I think that the Dogs (abit like last year with Aka)...have agreed to swap at least pick 29 for Hudson.....so the Dogs have to wheel and deal or give up an ealier pick...
so is there anyone OF TALENT that the Dogs may try and offer us....
Personally I like the ide of keeping our first two picks...

Jordy McMahon is definitely talented - but not big enough or strong enough to get any contested footy at AFL level. Of course, we could always demand Tom Williams - there's a good prospectsaintsRrising wrote:I think that the Dogs (abit like last year with Aka)...have agreed to swap at least pick 29 for Hudson.....so the Dogs have to wheel and deal or give up an ealier pick...

I would think it is the Market of Sydney that dictates their moves. They really can't afford to tail off and have time to rebuild because then fans drop off while they are losing, costing them $$$ and potentially those fans ever coming back. They must keep patching up their inadequacies by trading for established players or draft young players that will make an impact in short period of time.Armoooo wrote:Well done sydney, Great pick up.
