sandringham's ruckman john shaw has been invited to the victoria screening sessions......he is a 19 year old ruckman who averaged 33 hitouts this year....and he made the tac cup team of the year.....garath trickey has done a nice article on him in today's herald-sun....he stands 197cm and he had a really good season.....

his height is 197 I noticed.

while thats massive for kids, its a bit short for AFL.

that said jeff white is listed at 195, but there really aren't that many under 200cm.

brooks had a massive leap prior to injuries, same as kosi, and even blake and goose.

I wonder how he would hold up against the bigger bodies as well.

sounds exciting though.

Gumby was an outstanding junior ruckman as well.

Was in the APS team of the year in 2006 and unlucky not to be rookie listed.

Good bloke, but not sure he has the natural ability to make it at AFL level. Deserves a rookie list spot though IMO.
