I tried to do a search of the posts...but was unable to.....I wasn't aware that he was subject of previous rumours.....thought the rumours related to their CHB.

I've been on this forum bagging drug cheats as much as anyone, been at loggerheads with other forum posters. however one problem which I blame the AFL for is the ridiculous situation where because of the secrecy and cover ups innocent players are named.

now its well known a number of players have had issues with drugs.

however the indication of a certain player is unfair as there is no basis for said rumours to be posted here.

for those who know that fphukcing turd scum sucking piece of shyte formerly of the labor party and rejected by the liberals for being a piece of shyte who abandoned his wife and ran away when he was facing courts and then had to get daddy to bail him out, he is one of the sources for the undocumented, unproven allegations.

Andrew Landeryou, yes you shyte sucking maggot, I remember your shenanigans at melbourne Uni 20 years ago.

the sooner you die, the better it will be for everyone you maggot.

Several posts have been removed from this thread.

As far as I am concerned, the nature of the thread is about a CHF from Hawthorn who may be leaving the club for whatever reason

Any mention of anything else or rumours could get us in trouble.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

same people peddling rumours around the place.

given the threats of legal action, its just stupid to post rubbish that hasn't been substantiated.

IMO we have had robust discussions on the legitimacy of the using certain pharmaceuticals without having to name players or clubs. Some of it has actually been informative. Also we have had very good robust debates on the validity and efficacy of the AFLs policys with regard to pharmaceuticals, cover ups, women in football, etc etc.

there are some who are hell bent on tarnishing players based on salacious rumours.

once and if ever published, I'd be happy to boot into whatever player (ie cousins, the stupid leak by the AFL commissioner when he listed the 2 strikes players about 6 months ago, etc)

we know there are problems and 95% of it is because the AFL has its head in the sand.

agreed dan

Imagine if you traded a first round pick for a star player only to find out 3 months later that he has tested positive for a third time.

If I was the club I would look at my legal options.

Big can of worms that one.

yep, the whole mess is one of creation of the AFL.

its not like you can reverse the draft.

my understanding is that some players ahve been open and honest with the clubs, however if that were not the case, you trade for a player, they get their third strike and its all over, player suspended, draft pick lost.

of course the clubs know because of leaks, but the reality is its a bit like anthony stevens missus, everyone knows, but no one wants to talk about it.

do you really think that most players would be open and honest to a club they were being traded to. In an industry that goes through 80+ players a year why would you put your high paying career on the line.

Have a look at what the hawks did with hay, didn't tell north of his mental problems.

It's a total mess.

Personally I would make it that the club is told after the first strike and it is made a rule that you need to pass this information on when trading.

Hay also made some revelations taht would be of interest to the AFL, sweetly swept under the carpet as well.

if they are a happy team at hawthorn...heres a reason why.

and this IS a source.

IMO this is another example of the failed drugs policy.

It seems for a such a quality footballer, he was really given the hammer at hawthorn and North. Hawks extracted draft picks for him, when he was possible incapable of playing quality football again, and north made publicise his illness, to justify their trades.

meat in a meat market :(

I dont usually empathise or feel sorry for footballers who go off the rails, but Jono hay seems to be a geniune person who was treated like a slab of meat by two clubs.

agree dan, terrible treatment. I could understand if the club was not awhere but they were. Depression is hard enough, what Hay went through was a disgrace.

This has been going around for a very long time and if there was any truth to it, it would have came out ages ago.
