Sounds like ball will be much better...
Read an article in todays HS where the Lions Brown was talking about judd's abductor release operation and was tating that he had had the same operation, as had others like voss and that he Brown saw Judd as coming back just as good as before.
This is also god news for Ball as he had the same opeartion but earlier than Judd (though Judd also had a seconday problem as well).
I also spoke with an ex saints Club Doctor just before Ball went under the knife and he said that this type of operation noramlly had good results.
I also spoke with my brother in law last night (ex Striker for the Socceroos) and he had the same operation 15 years back and came back fitter and stronger after it.
So it would seem that there is a very good chance of seeing Ball like we want to see him playing next season.

I heard Ball interviewed on it....and he basically said he had tried everthing else...and so it was now time to have surgery. He sounded quite reluctant.SaintBot wrote:the question from me is: if the results are so good normally, why has it taken so long?
I also know from another source that he was recommended to have the operationa while back...
So I would guess that Ball did just not like the idea of surgery....and wanted to explore all other means first.
By brother in-law remarked last night that they had to go in "deep".....but that it had worked out well.

Why was it his choice? Surely it should of been done at the end of 06, he was not right in 06 and 07, we have had 2 wasted seasons of what is a fantastic player.saintsRrising wrote:I heard Ball interviewed on it....and he basically said he had tried everthing else...and so it was now time to have surgery. All in the past now, glad it looks like he's going to be better. Hopefully back to his best.
And hack pup is out again, bowled without troubling the scorers.

the only thing i have read in this post is the name of it, and alreaddy i think you are wrong!
i believe after a player has had to have an opperation they are gone!
something tells me ball will never be the same again!

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

A hell of a lot of players have surgery every year.. That aren't publicide much. Voss had this exact same operation and came out still playing absolutley great football (2nd in brownlow ect). So that statement is way way off.
