yep, congrats to Geelong, hope their fans enjoy it, I hope one day to be at the premiership when we get ours so I buy my SC and membership every year bar 1 since 97 (I missed one year due to extreme povo at the time and no it wasn't 2006)

That's interesting.Just over a year ago, Mark `Bomber' Thompson was also waiting for the axe to come. The Cats had had a bad year. The players were not fit and appeared lethargic and disinterested. But Frank Costa and Brian Cook did not panic. They did not pull the pin. They showed their true management skills.
Instead of giving up and firing Bomber, they supported him. Neil Balme was brought in to share the work load. A new fitness regimen was adopted, and the team worked on personal issues. The result was an amazing turnaround and our brilliant season culminated in that tremendous grand final.
