Couldn't believe Vossy didn't get a gig.

Should have been put in the same car as his brother.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Vossy elected to go to qld :(
G elected to go to Europe :(

same happened last year the saints retirees elected not to which mean we the supporters didn't get a chance to see our greats applauded:

I only caught the end and they mainly showed hird and Archer and brown-coleman I assume.

I saw it a while ago, great to see Thommo but I didn't see Matthew Clarke even though they mentioned his name.

Where was Vossy and the big G?

Nope, I am watching the Setanta coverage in the US, and got to see Thommo. Missed Matty Clarke - couldn't see him... But I REALLY missed seeing the G Train ... he was one I was really looking forward to seeing once more. But it was always like him to do his own thing... Gotta love him!

IF Harves had retired this year he would have been one of many absolute champions of the game to give it away. When he does do it, he will be on a stage of his own (while there will be others who retire there's no super champions of his stature, and some of the others who retired this year, coming up in the next couple of years).

If he hangs on until 2015 there might be a couple of others though.

I was very disappointed that Darren Jarman wasn't there but Joel Smith was.

If only it had been like that 10 years ago :!:

Well well..a revamp of the pre-game entertainment eh?? I never thought Id say this..but..bring back the wavy parachute silk LOL

IN a word, this years pre-game was DULL, DULL DULL.

Jet...played with their backs to the outer and thrilled the MCC Members they faced..NOT!! One bloke 5 seats up from me stood at the end of their set and gave them a hell of a spray. DOnt get me wrong, I boulght and loved their first album, but just standing on a corner of a stage and playing...meant nothing

The retiring players...bring back the cars!!! THought it was done really badly...walking off the ground the players were so surrounded by support staff and cameras it was hard to make out who they were.

THe Premiership Clubs display...good idea on paper but fell flat. Hearing all of Collingwoods and Essendons Premierships read out is not my idera of entertainment

The arrival of the Cup...great idea on paper and the only part of the whole show that kinda worked...even if it did rip off the Olympics LOL
..it took the woobly-attempts to get the Cup on the podium for the crowd to show any interest. and what makes HIRD so special that he gets to hand the cup to the flying guy?? Archer, KOuta, Roo, whats wrong with any of them? PErhaps Sheeds would hae been better given his time as a Coach.

Oh..and after the game. Wolud it have hurt to have the podium facing the Cats fans????? Surely the camers angles arent that set in concrete that they couldnt handle spinning it around 180deg and actually face the army of fans who had come to witness exactly that moment????

All in all...dunno how it translated on TV..but a very dull presentation from Level 4 of the MCC Members...bring back the ROulettes and F-18s I say!!!!

Half the time when a retired players name was read out the camera was on a different player. Surely they could have at least done that better. Andrew Thompson was probably shown for a whole 2 seconds. I couldn't even say if it was him for sure because the camera was on and off him so fast.
