Essendon PIG Supporters
Article on the HUN website reporting Knights appointment.... around 90 comments from the General Public.... general them of comments...
- Essendon have a god-given right to premierships
- Knights comes from a dud club and has no capacity whatsoever to lead them back to sustained success
- So let's all 'spit the dummy' and not renew our memberships in 2008
- Oh and by the way... .we are turning into the laughing stock of the AFL, taking over from ST KILDA as the #1 basket case in the competition.
What a bunch of good-for-nothing, bogan, thug supporters the Red & Black are.

Didn't Sheedy come from Richmond?
He had won premierships as a player, but he was from the Tigers none the less.
They'll get over it.

Sheedy played in the late '60s and 70's for the Tigers, one of thier best periods ever.Leo.J wrote:Didn't Sheedy come from Richmond?

Knights is an interesting choice, to be honest I'd be a bit concerned as well.

I would be concerned because Knights has NEVER been associated with a successful team.TimeToShineFellas wrote:Why?riccardo wrote:Knights is an interesting choice, to be honest I'd be a bit concerned as well.
Richmond has experienced one of its worst eras in its VFL/AFL history.
The SANFL club he went to never played in a premiership.
Since he has been involved in Essendon, they have also had a slump in form and finished in the low end of the eight for a number of years.
Very, very interesting choice.
Ultimately, the proof will be in the pudding but Essendon will need to have a good season next year to justify the selection.

I don't think this is right. I don't believe that Mark Williams has ever had anything to do with the Bombers either as a player or a coach.SaintBot wrote:its essendons own problem that they wernt quick enough to act, thinking that they could lure the premiership coach back to their club

Mark Williams was an assistant coach at Essendon before he went to Port.meher baba wrote:I don't think this is right. Coached Port during a rare barren era. Only got VFL job in conjunction with role at Essendon, and we all know how assistants jobs are now.TimeToShineFellas wrote:Port Adelaide (SANFL) coach 2003-2004riccardo wrote: They said they chose him because of his rosy outlook on the current list. I don't see how good thier current list is.
Plus, what experience does he have?
Bendigo Bombers coach 2005-2007
Essendon asst. coach 2005-2007
I might be wrong about this, but I'm unimpressed by that sort of record.
ah ha...either way, im correctGrumpyOne wrote:Mark Williams was an assistant coach at Essendon before he went to Port.meher baba wrote:I don't think this is right.
