I think that MOTY and GOTY is half voted by a panel of 'experts' and half voted by the public, Lloyd's goal was shocking, should have been a free kick against him, Motlop should have won if there was any justice.
As for Newton's mark, best I saw this year...

Lloyd got goal of the year?
how much would of he paid for that to happen?
i think motlop's goal was by far WAY better! even my 8 y.o sister could of kicked the goal lloyd got, and as if it counts because it was against carlton!

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

What an absolute joke!!!!!
Newtons mark was fair enough.
But how Matthew "LookhowfarIcantuckmyshirtintomyshorts" Lloyd won goal of the year is beyond me.
Isn't goal of the year supposed to be something special that shows class and skill. Anyone could've done what Lloyd did.
Motlop definately should've won the award.

At least we won something this year !!!
Motlop's goals was one of the best I've seen.
Arguably the most difficult kick in footy is the banana on the run, especially on the wrong side for a right footer, and he kicked it 50 metres.
Sensational goal.
Far better then Lloyd's, who in reality only had to get boot to ball, albeit the back of the boot and he couldnt miss.

Shoulda been both of 'em Queeny. My choice for GOTY was Robbo's goal on his back against us in R1. That was pure magic.QueenC wrote:Woo Hoo!!!chook23 wrote:Lloyd...back kick
