I knew I saw a player clapped off by the rest of the Collingwood players.

Couldn't work out who and never thought any more of it.

A good solid straight ahead defender - good career, well done James.

One of the few Pies I've liked.

Didn't realise he was 31 ... thought he was younger.

Fantastic player, especially since he came to the Pies.

2 All-Australians and 2 B&F's at the Pies ...

Great bloke off the field and a smart operator.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

A good bloke too... I ran into him when he was in Ireland with the AA team in 2002. I was on a working holiday & he was so interested in my travels & experiences & seemed truly envious. He said that after getting drafted at 18 AFL players don't get a chance to do things like that. I suppose we spend so much time being envious of them that we forget the simple things in life that they miss out on.

Well played Jimmy, a good bloke playing for a scumbag club!

Great and well respected defender who could play on any sized forward, and beat them most of the time. This retirement definitely took me by surprise, but at least he is retiring on his own terms. All the best to him in his post footy life.

However, I guess Clement wouldn't want to be remembered for this interesting grip on our Nick Riewoldt :P.
