One of the genuine legends of the modern game for me. I rate him above Buckley and Hird

Shocking way to end his career...deserved more

The only thing you didnt do..was give Wayne Carey the smack n the mouth he so richly deserved that night at TD

Congratualtions on a fantastic career

totally agree, look at the bright side, the lucky bugger has two premiership medallions and a norm smith to ease the pain of tonights loss.

Im sure Harvey would rather end with a loss and two premiership medallions than win his last game...

champion player...champion bloke....he and banger have those things in common...along with humility....

.on the other hand......if anyone has seen judd on tellie these past few days you can easily spot the difference....he is as arrogant a footballer as you would ever want to meet...as well as being a real mummy's boy.....

...the scumbags are welcome to him...imhfo...that is....

bull crap

Harvey didn't spend the first half of his career wacking blokes behind play

i used to hate North back in the 90's, and the main reason was because of dirty players like Archer

the media say hes tough, he's no tougher than Kosi or Roo, the only difference is that he belts blokes, to try look 'tough'

i wasn't too disappointed when he got towelled up today, he looked waaay past it

Well done Arch.

Great career, loved the tough no-nonsense style.

One of my all time favourite opposition players.

maybe, but you shouldn't compare him to Harvey

Harvey didn't have to whack blokes to build his reputation, he used his skills, which were twice as good as Archer ever had

i wouldn't put him in the same league as banger on ability...and i didn't.....lighten up....

You make some good points there dud.
Agree that Archers image has been cultivated ovr the last few years.
I spent the 90's in Sydney - it might as well have been another country as far as AFL reporting went.
Who do you remember him whacking? Any Saints on his hit list?

Couldn;t have put it better Michael...Well done Arch...great career....and enjoy the well earn't rest.

Met the great man at Big Joes at Sorrento about 8 years ago and we we were joking about having good looking daughters and the challengers ahead...

Was a geniune ,no airs and graces bloke who was an ornament to the game...

If you don't respect this bloke you have no freaking idea...

in the mould of Harvs,Tuck and Hird...

Club loyalties aside careers to to be celebrated and acknowleged as champions of our game 8-)
