Kangaroos....
since the 17 minute mark of the first quarter, Port have put on 80 points to the Roos 8....
the fact that the Roos, and the Pies too, made it to a prelim final is an absolute joke (at the end of round 22, both had only won 3 games against the final 8 teams, which was less than us) which i suppose sums up this season
i tell ya, the Cats have chosen a good year to have a run at the flag, basically no other stand out team in the comp

ths year has been interesting with the ladder not really emphasizing the values of teams lists

Did you not see them beat Geelong in Geelong???Saints Premiers 2006 wrote:no they wontHSVKing wrote:The Power will beat them next week...The_Dud wrote:i tell ya, the Cats have chosen a good year to have a run at the flag, basically no other stand out team in the comp

Port have the best game style in the league. They are the one side Geelong would have wished wasn't playing them next weekend.
Lade/Brogan will destroy Ottens/Blake
Ablett will be tagged and probably beaten
Shaun Burgoyne
Geelong don't have the small backs to go with Ebert, Burgoyne, Motlop et al
They have better first year players in Boak, Westhoff etc
Chad Cornes
Run the ball more direct than Geelong
Peter Burgoyne
They have a backline unlike Collingwood
Kane Cornes
Port have many players who played in the 2004 Premiership side... they have experience
Mark my words...
Port Adelaide 2007 Premiers.
They walk amongst us...

i was going to go for Port against the Cats in the GF purely because it would shut up the mass of arrogant and obnoxious Geelong fans, but after seeing Tredrea and C Cornes' efforts today, i don't think i want either team to win....

2002 = Collingwood played 3 interstate teams in 3 finals
2003 = Collingwood played 3 interstate teams in 3 finals
2004 = St Kilda played 3 interstate teams in 3 finals
2005 = St Kilda played 2 interstate teams in 2 finals
2007 = Geelong played 0 interstate teams in 2 finals ...
Great year to do well.
Much easier for a Vic team in the top four when they get to play other Vic teams.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Both sides have not had to travel.
Travel is not something that is a problem in finals (as shown with stats)
Geelongs home ground/s are Kardinia and Telstra...
Both Geelong and Port Adelaide played 2 Home and Away matches the the MCG, Both for 2 wins (both played Collingwood in the wet once).
It will be neutral ground this weekend... the Grand Final doesn't matter who is Victorian or not.
