Fiora signs on for two more years
MELBOURNE, Sept 14 AAP - St Kilda have re-signed midfielder Aaron Fiora for a further two years.
The 26-year-old played all 22 games for the Saints in 2007, his second season with the club having started his career with Richmond back in 2000.
Overall Fiora has played 120 AFL matches and will now remain with St Kilda until 2009.
"We are very pleased to have Aaron sign on until 2009," St Kilda's general manager football operations Ken Sheldon said.
"The club is looking forward to Aaron's continual progress after having his most consistent season in 2007."

Nice one Fizz - now, a big pre-season from you son...
Do the hard yards and this could be the best year of your career.
A good start in 2007 and hopefully more to come.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Re: Fiora signs on for two more years
Congrats on Fiora he has been pretty useful this season.bigcarl wrote:good. when is goose going to sign?
But I do find that to be an interesting question......
How many more are they going to sign up before they get to Maguire?
I don't mean to sound disrespectful, you guys know that I would never do that especially as a guest on here, but that is a hell of a lot of out of contract payers to be signed so far without getting to one of the most important (to structure if nothing else).
Whats that now this season - Dal Santo, Reiwoldt, Kosi, Hudgton, Fisher gets an add on year without being out of contract, and now Fiora?
Not that I think Goose will end up anywhere else (unfortunately ) but from the outside looking in this situation does give off an interesting perspective, especially when you factor in the money already spent.

I have been a staunch supporter......not a L.Ball, but not everyone is supposed to be, there is a definite part for him to play....has class..
How many seasons has he been at St.K.....I though he had been here three seasons......oh, and good news on Fizz being rewarded for a good season...120 AFL games, not bad for a 'DUD' will finish between 150-200, not a total failure.....

Had a great year, and his 2005 with us (yep st. mart, it's been 3 seasons) was also very good.
If he can continue his form of this year and improve on his goalkicking, he will become one of our most important players ...
Was one of our most consistent in '07 with only a couple of poor games.
Unfairly maligned but should finish off his career with the Saints as a solid footballer.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

maybe the rb and his group want to get goose's leg looked at thoroughly before throwing the big dollars (he would otherwise deserve )at him?
there must be more to the story however goose is part of the brotherhood down at linen house (or whateverthefockitscallednow) and will look to stay there
these boys know that success is around the corner...

Dont forget Gehrig would have been paid fairly well and with the retirements there should be money availableQueenC wrote: Not that I think Goose will end up anywhere else (unfortunately ) but from the outside looking in this situation does give off an interesting perspective, especially when you factor in the money already spent.
