I will not go down the road of bagging Rod Butters as I think he has done a fantastic job for the footy club. He took over from Andrew Plymtom and carried on the good work financially. As a club we have never been better of debt wise. Rod's problem has only come about with the sacking of GT. Wheter or not we agree with it you move on as we have all learnt over the years as saints supporters. The clash between RB and GT since in the press drags the club down. Its not going to end and will always appear in the press when we least want to hear about it. I am sceptical of the reason the footy first ticket is going by but will gather more info about it in the future. The previous tosser (Bedwell) who wanted a change has no credability. To be a cllub president in Victoira you have to have exceptional corporate backing. ie Eddy, Smorgan and Pratt. and Bedwell is nowhere near their league. However this ticket appears to have a good bit of financial backing and expertise so I will consider. As other people have posted before we are not in turmoil. We are not loosing Roo or Kosi or Fish, we are looking at a change in board to take the club further along. It really looks like it is time for Rod to move on but it is not a time to get personal bag Rod and say how crap he has done , he hasnt been that bad he has made a few mistakes over the years but he has the clubs best interst at heart. Good luck Rod in the future. My money is on him stepping down and accepting that it is time to move on let someone else take the reigns and take the club forward. Hopefull to a dynasty with multiple premierships and untold riches
