There is no way X Clarke should be signed to a 3 year deal - I would give him one year, tell him this season is make or break & make sure he earns another contract.

I would use him as trade bait to lure a more CONSISTENT performer.
If unsucessful then a 1 yr deal

I actually didnt say that but you cant try and trade a person and then say sorry we couldnt get a deal for you so have a one year contract take it or leave it. Team harmony is important.
I think 2 years is what he should get.

we are trying to win premierships here, this isnt ur local league or junior footy, this is the big stakes, and im sure the board as well as most supporters will go to any measure to ensure we are successful.

In an earlier post about Kayne Pettifer i said he was selfish or something along those lines and wouldnt particularly want him at the club.
