Get rid of that all white "Fremantle" clash top they wore this year.
It is terrible.
We simply don't look like the Saints.
Makes us look like Freo.
And play like Freo !
Did we win any games in it ?
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
then what are the 2 red and black lines on both left and right side of the logo on the 07 clash?
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
But I don't think our traditional jumper clashes with any other jumper !
Whereas I did get confused watching today between North and Geelong because of the similarities in their colours.
But no-one else wears RB&W so there is no need for a clash jumper for us.
Lets get some optomological evidence for the AFL and destroy our "Freo" clash jumpers.

This subject has been done like a burnt dinner. Sponsors don't like the heritage jumper as the logos don't stand out. Why do we have to keep going over the same ol thing all the time its so tedious.
As an idea for a clash strip, has anyone seen the tri-colour worn in the NT competition that has the red and black stripes continuing onto the back of the jumper on a white base? It looks quite good, and is clearly red, black and white all the way.
thet OP would never work as a clash strip as its still primarily black..and I hate those silly lightning/claw design jumpers with a passion.
I dont have an issue with clash strips. If it means not accidentally handballing to an opposition player in the last minute of a grand final then bring it on. Our 2007 wasnt great but I was more annoyed with the half-assed weird way it was chosen.
The cynics among us of course might say that there is no need for them becuase there are no 1-1 contests in footy any more. Precious little danger of getting confused when you kick backwards to a bloke 20m in the clear
Why couldn't we have an all red version of this year's clash jumper. That would still solve clashes against Collingwood, Carlton & Melbourne (admittedly not Essendon).
I'm with the majority. Hated this year's jumper.

I admit my eyes aren't the best, but i had a real issue when we wore the stripes Vs Collingwood.
As for not needing a clash jumper, often against the Tigers I had an issue picking out who was who, so I think its very necessary.
While the cuurent design is obviously not the best, it is necessary to have one and I for one would like to see the old "crusader" design return, maybe with an all red back so it dosen't clash OR switch the colours and have it white with a red cross and black detailing.
Something like that was posted in picture form recently.
This is similar to the one I mentioned earlier. (Image linked from www.footyjumpers.com ... Mero's site) It keeps our tricolour style, and IMO wouldn't clash with any other team. It's actually our home jumper from 1923.
It can't be worse than the faded rag we had this year ...

I know I'm a minority, but personally, I think it's a pharce that the AFL doesn't do away with this issue once and for all by forcing all teams to have a home jumper and an away jumper.
Home jumper can be whatever the side wants, away jumper will have requirements. Within those requirements a team can change the jumper as often or rarely as they like (i.e. you're forcing Essendon to amend their constitution, but you'll only make them do it once).
Anyone doesn't play ball, they forfeit the 4 points. Period.
See Collingwood, Essendon and West Coast defy that mandate. You'll probably generate more revenue with 2 jumpers per team than via the fines anyway.
IMO, it's inevitable in the end, so just make the decision, and make the decision stick quickly. You can't make everyone happy, so just make the practicle and even decision.

Exactly.
The jumper we are wearing at the moment would end up being what we would wear, as if it was made that all sides had to have an away jumper, it would be most likely it would have to be white (Or Yellow in the case of Hawthorn etc).
I am going to play around with a few jumpers soon and propose the idea of them.
