I am asking this for a friend who is coming to Melbourne from interstate and booked the plane ticket just in case we were in the big one.
Actually, I wouldn't mind knowing myself also.
Thanks in advance

The Saints are not in the GF this year...and so it makes no difference if you area SC or ordinary member...there are NO tickets for either group. The Peanut wrote:I am asking this for a friend who is coming to Melbourne from interstate and booked the plane ticket just in case we were in the big one.

so options are:
*wait and see if any are lefdt over after sale to the two competing clubs = Not likely
*buya package...either travel package...ora match day package - big $$
*""find"" someone with a ticket and beg , borrow steal....ebay or a slavation army guy
NOW if it wasa year it which we did make it...IF he isa member he would most likely go intoa "draw" for the tickets.
ie 15,000 members might apply for say 5000 tickets giving him a one in three chance. Last time we got near the Club hadascheme where you pre-registerd your interest (I think it was about $10 each) and this was removing the traditional queuing up for days.
If not a member...then not likely at all.

one way is to get nominated to be an MCC member, it takes about 12 to perhaps 15 years to be a restricted member.
If there is at least one interstate team in the Granny, you normally can buy a ticket as a restricted member for about $140 (that's on top of annual membership subs of approx. $380).....wait another 10 to 15 years and you'll be a full member, and for (current subs) $519 per annum you just swipe your membership card and grab a seat!

I got mine yesterday in the mail.
Was very excited.
Haven't missed a GF since 1970.
I am an MCC member and successfully applied in their ballot and have wound up with a seat on level 1, 6 rows from the front on the wing.
Should be great as long as it doesn't rain.
Just wish "you know who" was playing.

Reckon I can queue and get a better seat than that...will prolly do that if the weather is decent. In 2005 you could have walked in at 8.15 and got 4 rows from the front without queueing at all

In 2005 I rolled in at 9, asked the redcoat if there were any spare singles and got a seat in the front row of level 2 - how good was that !saint66au wrote:In 2005 you could have walked in at 8.15 and got 4 rows from the front without queueing at all
Might be different this year if Geelong are playing.
