Positives from 07?
A lot of negative posts tonight (rightly so).
Here are some positives from 07:
Gilbert - Steller year, well done
Harvey's 350th
Actual use of rookie list in a long time
Scorps improve
We beat Sydney on my birthday!
Sam Fisher - A gun!
Any more????

Must say I couldnt give a rats about Scorps even though I have seen 7 games this year. Never liked Springvale in the VFL and still stands.SaintWodonga wrote:A lot of negative posts tonight (rightly so).

Joey Montagna - keeps improving more and more...
Hayes - Really hitting his straps at the end of the season (pity it means nothing now)
Kosi - played many games this year. great to see him in the team for so long. Makes a change.
Fiora - There's hope yet for Fiona!
Probably more but can't think of any.....
O wait, Riewoldt.... God I love watching him play!

Kosi !!!
Including today's match he has played 19 home and away games this season.... truly fantastic to see after what happened with Kosi last year.
Watch out next year, two full preseasons and a bucket load of confidence ..... it will be the year of the mighty Kosi next year
I can feel it

- Within 6 points of the opposition in every last quarter since Round 11. Basically we were a huge change of winning 11-0.
That's the sort of consistent football we haven't played since 2004. - If you look at the form ladder, you will see it like this since Round 11.
#1 Geelong
#2 Port Adelaide
#3 St Kilda* (providing we win today)
Ignoring the first half of the season, where between 8 and 14 players out each week, adjusting to a new coach and several players returning from injury (Ball, Hayes, Riewoldt etc.) hurt us, we were the 3rd best team in the AFL.
Third best team in the second half of the year. - We dispensed with the negative crap, or learned to play it better, and averaged 100 points in the second half of the year, playing attacking and direct football with only a couple of exceptions (the games against Fremantle and West Coast were a terrific style).
- We can start our pre-season 4-5 weeks ahead of the finals contenders, meaning we will be up and running for Round 1 next year.
- Robert Harvey will play on again
They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

I forgot to mention Fiora,
really stepped up this year, just needs a right foot & a lot more goals.
But good improvement.
Another positive (before injury) was in BJ, he was palying terrific footy, very big reasn why we missed the finals this year. I hope he can find his form again after such a serious injury.
